Bio
Training and lineage.
Kathak, Jaipur gharana. Dancing from the age of six.
Vidha Lal began Kathak at six and trained at Kathak Kendra, New Delhi, before two decades of study under her guru and mother-in-law, Smt Geetanjali Lal, in the Jaipur gharana.
She holds the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar (2017) from the Sangeet Natak Akademi, is empanelled with the ICCR and graded A by Doordarshan. She has performed at the Khajuraho, Nishagandhi and Saptak festivals and at Dance India Asia-Pacific in Singapore.
She is founder-director of the A.V. Dance Company and of Kathak Resonance.
